📌 What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It happens when the plantar fascia — a thick band of tissue that supports the arch of your foot — becomes inflamed or damaged.
This condition can make every step painful, especially the first few steps in the morning.
Causes of Plantar Fasciitis:
• 👣 Flat feet or high arches
• 👟 Unsupportive footwear
• 🏃♂️ Excessive walking, or standing
• ⚖️ Sudden weight gain
• 🦵 Tight calf muscles or Achilles tendon
• ⏳ Aging (common in 40–60 age group)
Symptoms of Plantar Fasciitis
• Sharp, stabbing pain in the heel
• Pain worse in the morning or after long rest
• Discomfort after walking, standing
• Tenderness in the bottom of the foot near the heel
